555ace How the Cricket Stats Hub Works

How the Cricket Stats Hub Works

The Cricket Stats Hub organises data by format — Test, ODI, T20I and PSL — so you are never sorting through international figures when you need domestic records. Each player profile shows career averages, recent form across the last ten innings, strike rates and economy rates side by side. Partnership breakdowns let you see which batting pairs have performed under pressure. Bowling

sections cover wicket tallies, dot-ball percentages and average runs per over. The Hub refreshes after each completed innings, so the numbers you read reflect the most recent completed action rather than a stale season summary.

HOW WE MAINTAIN ACCURACY

Why the Numbers in Our Hub Are Reliable

Verified Data Sources

We pull match data from official scorekeeping feeds rather than scraping third-party aggregate sites, which means the figures in the Hub trace back to the same records the boards publish.

Post-Innings Refresh Cycle

Career and series averages update after each innings is confirmed complete and reviewed. We do not push partial data mid-innings to avoid inflating or deflating a player's running average.

Format Separation

Test, ODI, T20I and PSL figures are kept in separate tables. Mixed-format averages can distort a player's value in a specific context, so we keep each format's numbers clean and distinct.

Transparent Methodology

Where a statistic uses a non-standard calculation — such as impact rating or pressure index — the Hub shows a short definition next to the column header so you know exactly what you are reading.

Cricket Stats Glossary — Key Terms Defined

What is batting average in cricket stats?

A batter's total runs divided by the number of times they were dismissed. Higher means more consistent run-scoring per completed innings across that format or period.

What does economy rate mean for a bowler?

Runs conceded per over bowled. A lower economy rate shows a bowler restricts scoring; it is most meaningful in T20 and ODI formats where run rate pressure is constant.

What is a strike rate in batting stats?

Runs scored per 100 balls faced. It measures scoring speed rather than consistency — a high strike rate matters most in T20 cricket where pace of scoring decides matches.

What does head-to-head record show?

The win-loss history between two specific teams across a chosen format or competition. It highlights whether one side has a pattern of dominance in particular conditions or venues.

What is a partnership record in cricket?

The highest combined run total scored by two batters batting together for a specific wicket — first, second, third and so on — within a format, series or career context.

What does dot-ball percentage mean?

The share of a bowler's deliveries that were faced without the batter scoring. A higher percentage means the bowler applies pressure by forcing scoreless balls consistently.

Common Questions About the Cricket Stats Hub

The Hub covers Test matches, ODIs, T20 Internationals and PSL seasons. You can switch between formats using the filter bar at the top of each player or team profile page within the Hub.

Data refreshes after each innings is officially confirmed. Mid-innings figures are not pushed live to prevent partial data from distorting career averages or series totals you rely on.

Yes. The comparison tool lets you place two player profiles side by side across batting average, strike rate, economy rate and recent form. Select both names from the search bar and hit compare.

PSL data sits in its own format tab so franchise figures never blend into a player's international averages. You can view PSL career records, season-by-season breakdowns and team standings independently.

Basic match results and team standings are visible without logging in. Detailed filters — career comparisons, format splits and bowling pressure charts — require you to be signed in to your 555ace account.

Use the account chat to flag the specific player name, format and figure you believe is wrong. Our team checks the source feed and updates the display, then confirms the correction through your account message thread.
